Our Services
We focus on five core service areas. Each one follows the same approach: assess carefully, explain clearly, and carry out the work properly.
Engine Diagnostics
Most requested serviceA warning light on its own doesn't tell you much — it tells you the vehicle's onboard system detected something outside of expected parameters. What it doesn't tell you is what's actually wrong, or how serious it is. That's where a proper diagnostic comes in.
We connect a professional-grade OBD-II scan tool to your vehicle's diagnostic port to retrieve fault codes. But reading codes is just the starting point. A code points us toward a circuit, system, or sensor — it's the beginning of a conversation, not the final answer. From there, we use a systematic testing process: checking live data, comparing sensor readings against manufacturer specifications, and ruling out causes one by one.
When you pick up your vehicle, we explain what we found, what it means, and what we recommend. If we found nothing urgent, we'll say that too.
When is diagnostics necessary?
- Check engine, ABS, or traction control light is on
- Noticeable change in performance, fuel economy, or driving behaviour
- Intermittent stalling, misfires, or hard starting
- Before purchasing a used vehicle
- As a follow-up to confirm a repair was successful
Our Diagnostic Process
Vehicle intake — we note symptoms and conduct a visual inspection
OBD-II scan to retrieve stored and pending fault codes
Live data review and targeted component testing
Findings communicated clearly — written summary available on request
Estimate provided before any repair work begins
Brake Service
Brakes are a safety system — they deserve a careful look rather than a rushed replacement. When we inspect your brakes, we assess the full system: pad thickness, rotor condition and thickness, caliper operation, brake lines, and fluid quality.
If pads are worn but rotors are within specification, we'll say so. If rotors need machining or replacement, we'll explain why and what that involves. Brake fluid absorbs moisture over time, which lowers its boiling point — we check this as part of any brake service.
We don't recommend brake work based on kilometres alone. The vehicle's usage — city driving, hills, towing — affects how quickly components wear. We go by what we actually measure.
Common brake symptoms
- Squealing or grinding when braking
- Longer stopping distances
- Pulsing or vibration through the brake pedal
- Brake warning light
- Vehicle pulling to one side under braking
Brake Service Process
Wheel removal and full brake system inspection at each corner
Pad and rotor measurement and condition assessment
Caliper and hardware inspection for binding or corrosion
Brake fluid test for moisture content
Written estimate before any parts are ordered or work begins
Oil & Fluid Service
Engine oil breaks down over time through heat, contamination, and oxidation. Running on degraded oil increases wear on internal engine components. We use the oil specification your manufacturer recommends — synthetic, semi-synthetic, or conventional — matched to your vehicle and climate.
Beyond engine oil, modern vehicles depend on several other fluids. Coolant prevents overheating and corrosion. Transmission fluid lubricates and cools the gearbox. Power steering fluid, brake fluid, and differential fluid all have service intervals that are easy to overlook.
Every oil service includes a visual inspection of other fluid levels and an underhood check. If we spot something worth noting, we'll mention it — no obligation attached.
What's included in our oil service
- Drain and replace engine oil with manufacturer-specified grade
- New oil filter installation
- Top-up of washer fluid, coolant, and other accessible fluids
- Visual inspection of belts, hoses, and leaks
- Tire pressure check
- Reset of service interval indicator if applicable
Oil Service Process
Confirm correct oil specification for your vehicle and usage
Drain old oil, remove filter, inspect drain plug and gasket
Install new filter and refill with correct oil grade and quantity
Underhood visual inspection and fluid top-ups
Note next service interval on sticker and in our records
Electrical Systems
Modern vehicles are heavily dependent on electronics. Sensors, control modules, and wiring harnesses work together in ways that make electrical problems some of the more time-consuming issues to diagnose properly. Chasing an electrical fault without a methodical approach often leads to misdiagnosis and unnecessary parts replacement.
We start with a battery load test and charging system assessment — a weak battery or failing alternator can cause a wide range of symptoms that look like other problems. From there, we use wiring diagrams and specialized test equipment to isolate faults in the circuit, rather than guessing based on symptoms alone.
Electrical services we handle
- Battery testing, replacement, and terminal service
- Alternator testing and replacement
- Starter motor diagnosis and replacement
- Sensor diagnosis (O2, MAP, MAF, cam/crank)
- Lighting and accessory circuit faults
- Charging system issues

Component verification before replacement
Post-repair verification scan to confirm resolution
Suspension & Steering
Suspension and steering components absorb road impacts and control how your vehicle handles. When these components wear, you may notice changes gradually — it can be easy to adapt to a vehicle that pulls, clunks over bumps, or doesn't handle as precisely as it used to.
We inspect the full suspension and steering system: struts, shocks, springs, control arms, ball joints, tie rods, sway bar links, and bushings. We also check alignment angles where applicable and note any uneven tire wear patterns that can indicate underlying issues.
Because many of these components affect vehicle safety, we describe our findings clearly and explain the implications — particularly for components with noticeable wear.
Signs of suspension or steering wear
- Clunking or knocking sounds over bumps
- Vehicle pulling to one side
- Excessive body roll in corners
- Uneven or rapid tire wear
- Steering that feels loose or imprecise
- Bouncing or diving under braking
